* Almost half the world — over 3 billion people — live on less than $2.50 a day.
* The GDP (Gross Domestic Product) of the 41 Heavily Indebted Poor Countries (567 million people) is less than the wealth of the world’s 7 richest people combined.
* Nearly a billion people entered the 21st century unable to read a book or sign their names.
* Less than one per cent of what the world spent every year on weapons was needed to put every child into school by the year 2000 and yet it didn’t happen.
* 1 billion children live in poverty (1 in 2 children in the world). 640 million live without adequate shelter, 400 million have no access to safe water, 270 million have no access to health services. 10.6 million died in 2003 before they reached the age of 5 (or roughly 29,000 children per day).

Do you have any known groups that would be willing to help start a transitional home for Veterans. I have a house that needs some fix up. This house will be set up under a NP501C3; Have had some experience; but cannot do the oversite as I have a disabled Vet I am caring for.

    Thanks for your support.

I have been surprised at how many people I have contacted and have not gotten anywhere. It seems people talk the talk, but don’t walk the walk!!

    Thanks,
    Brenda

Hello Brenda I am contacting you in regards to your Big Project in starting a transitional housing for veterans. Tough work but I will try doing a search for you for any groups in your area doing the same thing you want to do.Maybe a possible link up. What is your zip code? What are you trying to offer? Social workers? clinical chores and staff? Hot meals? Answers for these questions, are essential in order to find an organization that can help you in your process. I will be checking by periodically….
